Hi everyone,im just back from an amazing BBQ gathering with the Taiwan Immersion Programme people and I think I sure get sore throat one.
So anyway, recently I have been trying to get my friends to watch some horror movie, but sadly none of them can appreciate
being scared the living shit out of them fine art.
So actually I was thinking about watching this local movie called “Haunted Changi” which is about a group of people who climb into Old Changi Hospital, a hotspot of
drug addicts, illegal ramly burger vendors, fake LV bag sellers(like myself) and Orang Utans very scary ghosts and film their final hours in the
Geylang of the east most haunted place in Singapore.
But apparently the movie is overrated and critics have stated that despite the movie title being heavily influenced by local theme, the movie is a lot like the American horror movie, Paranormal Activity, which is about
why you should never buy that especially cheap flat in Sengkang supernatural activity in an average person’s home, and hence without any local flavor.
Being the super talented scriptwriter I am, I think I am going to like make my own local horror movie and become the next Stephen Spielburg!
Here it goes:
One day Mary was shopping in the sibeh atas, high class Marks and Spencer in Paragon. She was browsing through the shelves when suddenly a certain doll caught her eye. It had long curly hair, a slender body and a nice long dress and looks exactly like
SP Jeanette Aw. Though the doll was a beautiful as any other dolls on the shelf, there was a strange, ancient affinity between the doll and mary, a shared destiny between flesh and plastic. Mary was directed by an unseen force to buy a doll, as she paid a whopping $188.88 for the simple yet elegant plastic doll.
Mary proudly brandished her Marks and Spencer plastic bag as she walked past her neighbours’ doors, as she displayed her affluence to her neighbours. That night, after Mary played with her doll, she left her new acquisition on the window sill as she admired the beauty of her newest toy. A gust of wind blew through the window and blew the doll onto the ground. Instinctively, Mary went to pick up the doll and dusted the doll to preserve the doll in mint condition. As she was dusting the doll, suddenly the doll’s head turned around by itself.
Mary recalled a similar scene in the horror movie “Child’s Play” with the evil doll chuckie,as in the movie, the back of the doll was inscribed an ancient, evil incantation.
Mary slowly turned the doll around, as she prepared to see ancient sorcery cast in words.
As her eyes zero-ed into the inscriptions at the back of the ball, Mary Screamed!
It read……
“Made in Malaysia”
Mary threw the doll out of the window in fright, and cowered under the perceived protection of her blanket throughout the nite.
Suddenly she heard a faint voice in the distance.
“Mary,im on the flrst floor….”
Thinking it was nothing, Mary brushed it off and continued trying to sleep.
The next night as Mary was in bed,she suddenly heard a faint voice in the distance.
“Mary,im on the second floor.”
Mary was now terrified.
The next day she consulted a priest on this, who told her that if the doll managed to climb back up into her room, the doll will kill Mary.
Mary was scared like a student without wearing a school badge walking past the atrium after morning assembly.
Then that night,as Mary trembled under her blanket, she suddenly heard a faint voice of the doll in the distance.....
“Wah nabeh, why so suay this block kenna Lift Upgrading sia?sian ji pua man.”
Gosh do I love Malaysian Goods!
